Lypid

Feb 9, 2024

Lypid is a pioneering food tech company founded with core beliefs in sustainable agriculture and plant-based food. The brand will be showcasing product samples at booth #3205 International Pizza Expo 2024. At the International Pizza Expo, Lypid will be showcasing pork belly and meatball skewers, as well as meatball marinara penne and pork belly cheese crisps.

Driven by co-founders Dr. Jen-Yu Huang and Dr. Michelle Lee, the company developed Lypid™ Plant-Based Smoked Pork Belly Slices, offering the same taste, texture, and mouthfeel of animal-based pork belly. Made 100% from plants and the proprietary PhytoFat™, the Pork Belly offers juicy flavor and meaty texture. High in protein and free of cholesterol, it has 87% lower saturated fat, 37% lower calories and 75% lower sodium compared to animal bacon. It is a versatile foodservice ingredient and sizzles with tantalizing aroma while sautéing, frying and baking. The Pork Belly was named one of the top 3 future foods by Green Queen at CES 2023. The product earned 1st place in the meat category of The Plant Base Taste Challenge. Lypid will be showcasing product samples at booth #3205 International Pizza Expo.

Additionally, Lypid will be introducing Lypid™ Plant-Based Meatballs. This B2B product, made exclusively for foodservice, is made out of all plant-based ingredients, including the company’s revolutionary plant-based fat, PhytoFat™. Every delectable bite offers sweet and savory apple and tomato flavor notes. It is ideal for a multitude of dishes, ranging from traditional favorites to innovative creations, such as pizzas, pastas, salads and more. Great for sautéing, frying and baking, it’s a must-have ingredient for any establishment offering Italian, Asian, American, and other types of cuisines. Our product has 24% fewer calories and 46% less fat compared to animal-based Italian meatballs. The Plant-Based Meatballs are a great option for plant-forward and health-conscious eaters alike.
